Are Pets allowed

There is a small charge per dog staying with us at Skelwith Fold which helps to maintain the highest standard of stay for both dogs and people staying with us.

Are dogs and other pets allowed?

Skelwith Fold is a dog friendly park and pets are welcome in most areas, with a maximum of three dogs per touringΒ caravan/motorhome.

We have a range of pet friendly accommodations fromΒ Holiday Cottages,Β Safari Suites,Β Safari TentsΒ andΒ Family HideawaysΒ 

All our glamping and cottage rentals allow a maximum of two well bahved dogs and we provide a large dog crate, bowl and basket and towel.

Please keep dogs on a short lead under strict control around all touring pitches, holiday homes and glamping units. Dogs may not be left unattended anywhere on the park at any time, including inside your accommodation. Please note that you are responsible for your pets at all time, including cleaning up after them and keeping noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.

We reserve the right to ask the owner of any dog which causes a nuisance or threat to remove it from the park immediately. We cannot accept any breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Are there hairdryers available?

Our glamping and cottage accommodations all have a hairdryer provided.

For touring customers, our shower blocks have hairdryers available inside which are free to use.

Do you have any noise curfews?

The privacy, convenience and enjoyment of other guests andΒ caravan ownersΒ must be respected. Between the hours of 10.00pm and 8.30am noise disturbance for any reason must be kept to a minimum. We politely ask guests to abide by our quiet time rule.

Are there washing facilities in the holiday cottages?

There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes airer available for your use in each of our holiday cottages.

Are toiletries provided in the holiday cottages?

Complimentary toiletries are provided in each of our holiday cottages at Skelwith Fold. In addition, we provide two toilet rolls per bathroom on your arrival.

For your comfort and leisure, we also provide bathrobes for use during your stay in our cottages. Please leave these with the towels when you leave for them to be collected for laundry.

Do you offer early check in or late check out?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer early check in. If you arrive before 2pm (touring) please park on our main drive and check in from 2pm onwards.Β  Arrival times for glamping and cottages is from 4pm, if your accommodation is ready before this time, one of our reception team will contact you.
Where possible, we will endeavour to accommodate a later check out for touring but this can only be arranged on the day of departure and depends how many arrivals we have arriving that day, there is a Β£5.00 charge for a β€˜late depart’. Short term parking is available on our drive near the recycle area if you wish to leave the vehicle for a few hours after check out (no charge) – no overnight parking and must be arranged with a member of our reception team.

Does Skelwith Fold have any official accreditation?

Yes. The park has a top five-star tourist board accreditation, designated as β€œExcellent”. The park industry’s grading scheme, which is applied across the UK by independent inspectors, measures the quality – and not the quantity – of the facilities provided by a park. Our classification means that standards at Skelwith Fold are officially rated as among the very best in Great Britain.

How old do I have to be to book a holiday?

You must be at least 18 to book a holiday at Skelwith Fold. There must be a minimum of one responsible adult staying with each booking.

No persons under 18 years of age may stay in our glamping or cottage accommodations alone or with guests of the same age or under.

Is Skelwith Fold part of a holiday park group?

No, Skelwith Fold is not part of a holiday park group – we are an independent park.

The park is owned by Henry Wild and his family, who also own Skelwith Fold’s sister park,Β Moss Wood, located in Lancashire.

What happens if we arrive late?

Please let Reception know as soon as possible if you believe you will arrive after 9pm to enable us to make arrangements to cater for your arrival. Reception can be contacted onΒ 015394 32277.
